    University of Tampere is a full-scale university with six faculties. The Department of Computer Sciences belongs to the faculty of Information Sciences. Tampere Unit for Computer-Human Interaction (TAUCHI) operates within the Department of Computer Sciences. TAUCHI consists of more than 40 persons. The unit is organized into six research groups one of which is theMultimodal Interaction Group (MMIG) lead by Prof. Raisamo.Work in MMIG focuses on combining the benefits of new interaction technologies. This involves basic research within individual modalities and on their combinations and applied work inconstructing multimodal user interfaces, for example, for visually disabled people.     Role in the project

    Contribution to RA1.1, RA1.2, RA1.3, and RA1.4 by extending, andadapting, and reviewing SKILLS work in the Human-Computer Interaction context and contributing HCI-related parts to RA1.2Knowledge, models and approach in learning of an ability in thecontext of human-machine interactionDissemination in Finland and cooperates with AAU in disseminationactivities in the Nordic regions.Collaboration concentrated on the entertainment aspects of the sports demonstrations and on the craftsmanship aspects of selecting the skills that are to be the focus of DA1. Contribution to the design and development of the user interfaces of the demonstrations studying the interfaces as a part of the work done in RA1
