Welcome to SKILLS Target Audience Database

Introduction

SKILLS project addresses a new type of  "codified knowledge"  and new technological services that can be used to better serve users and society. Europe can benefit of the kind of results expected in promoting cultural inter-exchange of skills and preserving the value of regional cultural heritages.

In order to maximize the project impact, SKILLS aims at disseminating results as much as possible, by using different dissemination and awareness channels. For  this  reason,  it has been planned  the creation  and management  of  a Target Audience Database and of the DIGITAL-SKILLS Special  Interest Group  (SSIG).
The Target Audience Database is designed to collect both individual and organizations interested in the topics addressed by the Project. The Database records can be filled in either by a SKILLS  member or directly by a public internet user. The Target Audience Database also contains member appointed as SSIG Member.
The SSIG  is expected  to  rapidly  become  an  even  more  important  Dissemination  Tool,  as  the  number  of Members  increases and  the usability of  the prototypes help  to make  them more widespread. This Group will allow the Consortium to establish a fruitful two-ways communication among industrial, sport and medical sectors and SKILLS Community.

Furthermore,  the SKILLS  integrated project addresses  the direct  involvement of Industries both as end users as well as participants to the development activities. SKILLS supports EU-SME policies by pulling together a well-balanced consortium that includes two SME partners. A fundamental way to  involve SMEs  in  the  project will  be  through  the Special  Interest Group  (SSIG)  created  in  the
"Dissemination  activities".  The  application  of  the  new  SKILLS  framework  can  increase  the competitiveness  of  the  SMEs,  for  example  reducing  the  time  required  for  the  training  of  the employees  and  so decreasing  costs.  In  this  sense,  it  is  foreseen  that  several SMEs  from different fields are interested in the results of the project and become members of this SSIG group.
